With the Data Act now in force, users of connected products are becoming increasingly aware of their right to access and share the data generated by the devices they use. At the same time, European countries are adopting the national measures needed to make the Data Act fully operational.
This makes it increasingly urgent for OEMs that have not yet acted to put in place compliant, efficient, and scalable data-sharing processes.
Today, many companies handle data access and sharing requests through manual processes. However, as the volume of requests is expected to grow, this approach risks becoming costly, risky, and hard to manage.
The Servitly Data Act solution: self-service data sharing and monetization
With our latest product release, we have completed our ready-to-use Data Act solution.
With Servitly, you can now quickly create your Data Act Portal, without spending time writing specs or building dedicated features. The solution already includes everything you need to ensure regulatory compliance with the highest level of autonomy, timeliness, low latency, and data quality required by law, while also enabling data monetization models.
What's new
Token-based data sharing with Data Recipients
Users who want to share their data with a Data Recipient can now generate an authorization token directly from your portal and send it to the authorized third party.
Once the token is received, the Data Recipient accesses the portal, completes authentication, and can immediately start accessing Raw Data via API — with no manual intervention on your end.

Dedicated digital services for Data Recipients
As data holders, you can now configure specific Plans and Add-ons for Data Recipients.
This allows you to define a clear pricing structure for Data Recipients accessing the data, manage access centrally, and monetize data sharing in a structured, controlled, and scalable way.

Why a self-service approach?
The European Commission does not impose specific technical obligations, but its FAQ provides guidance on best practices to ensure regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and scalability. Among these, the self-service model is identified as one of the most effective solutions.
This is exactly the model Servitly adopts — one that is genuinely able to:
- drastically reduce operational and administrative workload;
- minimize the risk of errors associated with manual processes;
- improve the user experience for all types of stakeholders;
- handle growing volumes of requests with ease;
- ensure traceability, timeliness, and compliance with the data quality requirements set out in the Data Act.
